Defensive Driving & Fleet Training can facilitate further driver training via Skids R Us.

Founded in 2002 by Mr. Clive Jones who recognised the need for a driver training programme targeted at skid avoidance and control methods. Skids R Us driver training is fully endorsed by Defensive Driving & Fleet Training.

Skids R Us offers skid training for individuals or corporate groups in a especially developed vehicles. Our highly skilled and trained, Emergency Services instructors teach the basics of skid recognition and vehicle control. Skid cars are also available and great fun for use in corporate activity days.

Until now, controlling your car in a skid has probably been a question of keeping your fingers crossed and hoping for the best!

Imagine an ideal situation wherein you could gain real experience of skid control without endangering your own life, or that of other road users.

NOW that ideal is a reality, with Skids R Us.

Skids R Us skid cars look and drive like any ordinary motor car, but with one very important difference. They have a unique computer controlled hydraulic frame fitted to the vehicle that allows the instructor to simulate weather conditions from normal full grip to sheet ice or even aquaplaning, thereby introducing the sudden loss of control sensations along with all the car behaviour experienced in real emergency braking and skid conditions.

Under steer, over steer, brake and avoid and cadence can all be simulated at the touch of a button. This can be done as often as necessary, at varying speeds from 5 mph upwards in total safety.

Skids R Us is located in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan at the Llandow Trading Estate near the Llandow Racing Circuit.
