Community Car Scheme Training - Aim and Objectives
The general aim of this course is to help drivers provide a safe transport service.

The specific objectives of the course are:

  • To ensure Drivers understand their own and the Car Scheme Operator's general legal responsibilities
  • To ensure Drivers understand the health and safety issues that may arise in the course of their work in a Community Car Scheme.
  • To enable each Driver to review his or her own driving skills and develop a personal driving improvement plan.
  • To ensure Drivers can give help to passengers in a way that is safe and appropriate to their needs.
  • To ensure Drivers are aware of safer and appropriate ways of dealing with non-routine situations.
